- If you have a place (a condo, villa, house, boat, mansion, dungeon, plot of land, etc.) that people might be interested in renting out from you on a nightly basis, than it's about time you list it on inhabitz (for free).
Once listed, the process of renting is actually quite simple. After people stumble upon your listing (assuming it shows up as available for their desired nights), fall in love with your amazing kitchen, and decide they would like to book your place for a few nights while they visit your city, they come up with a nightly rate that they would like to pay for each of the nights during their stay. They then submit this offer to you through inhabitz.
Once you receive the offer, you have 24 hours to decide, based on the offer amount, previous feedback listed for that inhabitz member, and anything else that gets factored in when you make a rental decision (you only allow Red Sox fans to stay at your place? ), if you'd like to accept the offer or not. If you accept their offer, their credit card is immediately charged for their planned stay, and you get paid (usually through paypal, but other methods are available) that amount (minus a small percentage that we take for making the magic happen) 24 hours after they "check into" your place. We presume you will communicate with them to make arrangements for whatever you've described in your listing, including passing along keys, picking up keys, etc. If you decide not to accept the offer, we notify the interested inhabitz member that you declined their offer, and those days are still available for someone else to make a nightly offer for (including the same member that might decide to increase their offer on the nightly rate). Best of all, you can still use inhabitz, while listing your place on other popular rental websites, since it's up to you to decide if you'll accept or reject offers after they are made. And who knows, you might be able to get more than what you normally would rent it our for... -
